Learning Objective: Learn a 3 step process to renew your life in Christ and the behavior that shows up with it.
Scriptures: Ephesians 4:22-24 |Ephesians 4 and 5
Dear God, I want to release the ugly behavior that flows from my own self-doubts, fears and worries. Help me to tune into those specific behaviors that showed up this past year that do not align with the person you have called me to BE. Increase my desire to surrender my mind, will and emotions to your loving presence within me so that the behavior that shows up in the New Year makes you recognizable.
Dear God, breathe your life giving Spirit into me…my thoughts, will, emotions, fears, self-doubts, worries. I want to come ALIVE in you just as those dead bones came to life when you made your breath enter them. Resurrect my confidence, trust and peace in you as I move forward into a New Year. Help me to stop, look within to your presence and breathe it over the dry bones in my life. It’s time for a resurrection Lord. I give you permission to prune from my life what has blocked my ability to trust you with it all.
Learning Objective: Understand the difference between fleshly efforts and Godly inspired efforts. Be able to create the pause between your activities to activate the power of Christ within you.
Scriptures: Luke 5:4-7|John 21:4-14 | | Psalm 55:22| 1 Peter 5:7
Dear God, too often I too, like Peter find myself exhausted from casting my net over and over and coming up empty. Do for me what you did for Peter…direct my efforts to the right side of the boat, with YOUR strength as my fuel and focus. Help me to cast my net and my cares onto your merciful heart. Guide me into that deep peace and confidence that comes from remembering that whatever YOU call me too that your powerful strength within me will bring it to pass. My energy is renewable on when you are the source of my strength.
