Learning Objective: By the end of this lesson, You will explore how the Book of Judges reveals the cycle of compromise, self-rule, and spiritual drift, and how believers can use self-examination through an EIC lens to return to God’s guidance and truth.

Scriptures: Judges 17:6 | Judges 2:11-12 | Proverbs 3:5-6 | 1 John 1:9

The book helped them understand five key areas:

  1. Honest self-examination
  2. Recognition of compromise
  3. Repentance
  4. Realignment with God’s truth
  5. Submission to God’s leadership

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that without Your guidance, we are prone to wander and rely on our own understanding.

As we enter this reflection on the Book of Judges, we ask that You open our eyes to see the subtle ways compromise can enter our thoughts, choices, and desires. Search our hearts and reveal anything that has drawn us away from Your truth.

Teach us to recognize where we have been doing what is right in our own eyes rather than seeking Your wisdom and leadership. Give us the courage to face ourselves honestly, without shame, and the grace to respond with repentance and willingness to change.

Through this time, form in us a deeper awareness of Your presence. Strengthen our emotional and spiritual discernment so that we may respond with wisdom rather than impulse, and with obedience rather than resistance.

Help us to walk in alignment with You, surrendering self-rule and embracing Your righteous leadership over every area of our lives.

May this reflection bring clarity, conviction, and transformation—not through condemnation, but through Your loving correction and truth.

We dedicate this time to You.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Learning Objective: By the end of this lesson and series participants will be able to understand how wholehearted love for God and intentional obedience to His Word shape emotional, spiritual, and daily decision-making, and apply these principles through the EIC (Emotional Intelligence in Christ) lens to cultivate trust, faithfulness, and consistent spiritual growth.

Scriptures: Joshua 1:8-9 | Philippians 4:13 | James 1:22 | Isaiah 41:10|

The book helped them understand five key areas:

  1. Courage in times of transition
  2. Faith and obedience to God
  3. Victory through God’s guidance
  4. Possessing God’s promises

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being faithful to every promise You make. As we begin this study of Joshua, teach us how to walk in courage, obedience, and trust. Help us move beyond fear, doubt, and hesitation so that we may fully possess the purpose and inheritance You have prepared for us.

Strengthen our faith when obstacles seem overwhelming. Remind us that Your presence goes before us and that victory comes through dependence on You. Give us hearts that are committed, obedient, and willing to follow wherever You lead.

Teach us to lead with wisdom, live with integrity, and stand firm in seasons of transition. May this study deepen our confidence in Your faithfulness and inspire us to choose You daily in every area of our lives.

As for us and our households, we will serve the Lord.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Learning Objective: By the end of this lesson, learners will be able to recognize how fear, doubt, and perception influence their response to God’s promises, evaluate their emotional and behavioral reactions in seasons of uncertainty, and apply the EIC Method (Encounter → Identify Behavior → Course Correct) to shift from fear-driven responses to faith-centered obedience aligned with God’s Word.

Scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:5–7 | Matthew 22:37–38 | Psalm 119:10–11 | Proverbs 3:5–6 | Joshua 1:8 | Psalm 1:2–3 | James 1:22 | Deuteronomy 30:19–20 | John 14:15 | Isaiah 1:19 | Galatians 6:7– 8

The book helped them understand five key areas:

  1. Developing confidence in God’s guidance and covenant promises
  2. Choosing faithful obedience in seasons of uncertainty and challenge
  3. Recognizing how fear, doubt, and negative attitudes hinder spiritual growth
  4. Understanding God’s steady faithfulness despite human weakness and inconsistency

Prayer: Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, anchored in Your Word in Deuteronomy. Teach us what it means to love You with all our heart, soul, and strength, and to let that love shape every part of our lives.
Where fear has taken root, replace it with trust. Where doubt has spoken louder than Your promises, quiet our thoughts with Your truth. Help us not only hear Your Word but carry it in our hearts and live it out in our daily choices.
Let our emotions be surrendered to You, and our actions reflect obedience rooted in love.
Form us into people who do not drift between belief and fear, but who are fully anchored in You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  3. Understanding the role of sacrifice and atonement
  4. Approaching God with reverence
  5. Structuring worship and community life

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with humble hearts, seeking Your presence and guidance. Open our minds and hearts as we explore Your Word and help us to see the areas of our lives that need Your touch. Teach us to live holy lives, not set apart for You, and give us the strength to obey Your commands in thought, word, and action. Lord, as we reflect on Leviticus 20:7–8, help us to encounter Your truth, recognize where our behaviors fall short, and receive Your grace to course correct. May this time draw us closer to You, shape our hearts in alignment with Christ, and equip us to reflect Your holiness in all we do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Through Christ, we learn to live differently—where emotions no longer control us but instead guide us toward deeper trust in God, a invitation into a new way of living—where Emotional Intelligence in Christ guides or behavior and actions.

Scriptures: Exodus 14:13-14 | Psalm 46:10 | Isaiah 41:10 | 2 Timothy 1:7 | Mark 4:39–40 |

  2. Their identity as God’s chosen people
  3. God’s power and faithfulness
  4. The importance of obedience and trust
  5. The establishment of God’s law and covenant relationship

Prayer:

Let us pray, Heavenly Father,
In moments of fear and uncertainty, help us to be still and remember that You are with us. Teach us to recognize each encounter as part of Your plan, to pause before we react, and to choose faith over fear. Guide our hearts to respond not in the flesh, but in Your love, truth, and wisdom. Strengthen us to trust that You are fighting for us, even when we cannot see the way.
