Dear God, I give way to much power away to people and circumstance to define my worth and value. Forgive me. Restore within my heart an attentive awareness of your voice whispering who I am in you. Free me Lord from the behavior that is fueled by the drug of approval and the disease to please. May I do all that I do with my eyes fixed on you…the author and perfecter of my identity and faith. Have your way with me in spite of myself.
